What the grader checks
Most visitors to a sales page leave without buying. They usually leave for one of five reasons, so the grader checks those five things, on your page's own words.
- What it is
- Within a few seconds, a visitor can tell what is sold and what it does for them.
- Who it's for
- The page says who the offer is for, so the right visitors recognise themselves and the wrong ones don't waste time.
- Why believe it
- Results, testimonials, numbers, credentials or a guarantee back up the promise.
- The next step
- One clear action — buy, book, apply — with the price or what happens next stated.
- Visitors not ready yet
- Something for visitors who aren't ready to buy now: a way to find the right option, answer their doubts or come back later.
The check most pages fail
A sales page says the same thing to everyone. A visitor who is ready buys; everyone else — not sure the offer is for them, unsure which option to pick, not ready today — closes the tab. Better copy helps the first group. It does little for the rest.
That's the fifth check, visitors not ready yet, and it's where most pages score lowest. The fix isn't a longer page. It's asking first: a few questions that work out what each visitor needs, then send them to the offer that fits.
That's what Snacked builds. When your grade is ready, you can turn the same page into a short funnel that sits in front of it — your checkout and booking links stay where they are.
Questions
Is the grader free?
Yes. Grading a page needs no account and no card. Building the funnel afterwards needs a free Snacked account.
What pages can it grade?
Any public page that sells something: a sales page, a coaching or consulting page, a course page, a product page, a booking page. It reads the text on the page, so it can't see pages behind a login, and it doesn't judge images or videos.
Why couldn't it read my page?
Some sites build their text in the browser with JavaScript, and some block automated visitors. If your page can't be read, try another page on the same site — or sign up and paste the text of the page instead.
Do you keep my page?
The grade is kept in memory for a day, so grading the same page again is instant, and then dropped. Nothing about the page is saved to an account unless you sign up and build a funnel from it.
How is the score worked out?
Each of the five checks gets a score from 0 to 10. The conversion score out of 100 is their sum, doubled — so every check counts the same.
Is the conversion score my conversion rate?
No. It measures how ready the page is to turn a visitor into a buyer. Your actual conversion rate also depends on your traffic, your price and your market, which no tool can read off a page — anyone who predicts it from your URL is guessing.
What does the score with a funnel mean?
Three of the checks — who it's for, the next step, and visitors not ready yet — are what a funnel in front of the page changes. The grader scores those again as they would be with the funnel. The other two only your page can fix, and the grader tells you how.
What's the funnel at the end?
A few questions in front of your page. Each visitor answers, lands on the result that fits them, and that result ends on a button to the right offer — your checkout or your booking page. Snacked writes it from your page; you can edit everything before it goes live.
